CHRISTMAS PROGRAM

We have a few tables left for the Christmas dinner that is available prior to the program. If you are interested in tickets, please contact Mrs. Stribling at [email protected] as soon as possible.  Ticket sales will close tomorrow!

CALL TIMES AND DRESS FOR THE PROGRAM:

  • 5th-8th grade students will need to arrive dressed in all black by 5:00pm to eat prior to the program. Students will have time to change into costumes/other clothes after serving.  Be sure to bring winter wear/jackets/vests for your costume for the program!

  • Band students will need to be ready for warmups at 6:30pm

  • Kindergarten through 4th grade will need to meet in the music room at 6:40pm.  Students are to wear dress clothes or Christmas-y clothing.  No jeans, flip flops, sweatpants, athletic gear, etc.

SEVERE WEATHER!

For information about school closings or delays, please check out the school facebook page, where we will post closings, delays or other information.  We will also send out a school-wide email as well as post on local TV stations. We ask that you do not call or text staff members, but to check all of the sources above.  We attempt to make a decision by 6:30 am but sometimes it is a bit later, so check sources before leaving for school. Stay warm and safe!

After School - reminders

We want to remind all families that we are not able to provide any after-school supervision outside (playground and parking lot area) for students that are not signed in to our after-school daycare.  We have noticed that there has been a growing number of students (many who live nearby) who are on school grounds after hours. We want to encourage families that live close by to have children head home after school if possible.  Students who have been dismissed should not be returning inside the school building unless they have scheduled time with teachers or are enrolled in daycare. Thank you.

From the Principal's Desk

“Peace on earth, goodwill to all!”  This familiar phrase brought some new meaning to me recently, as our chapel series (the Beatitudes) this week focused upon “blessed are the peacemakers.”  While I am assured that we will not see complete peace on our earth, as we do our best to be peacemakers and to make things right with those around us, we can begin to more fully understand what it means to be a child of God.  May we each attempt, in our own little world, to be Christlike and to be at peace with those around us!

In Christ,

Mr. Horning
