Andy Johnson Memorial Bike-a-thon coming up this Sunday!

It’s almost time! We are planning to proceed with the Bike-A-Thon if at all possible at its scheduled time on Sunday, May 7th from 2-4pm at Westside Minier Park regardless of the weather. In the case that it is raining, please be on the lookout for a possible rain delay time that same day. You can look for this via email and our facebook page. We are also still in need of snack donations. If you are willing to donate fruit, granola bars, or water, please drop them off in the office. We are still taking registrations and will continue up until the day of the event! Grab your friends and bring them too! We are looking forward to a great day of biking and raising money for our new building! If you have any questions, please feel free to text Kristi Espenschied at 309-229-8676. We hope to see you soon!

From the Principal's Desk

Believe it or not, we are just a short 15 days from the completion of this school year.  This time is always somewhat bittersweet for me.  I know that the prospect of “summer vacation” is exciting to our students and staff, as well as a change in routine for families.  But I begin to think around this time of what it will be like to “miss out” on seeing our school community every day.  Spending time with one another is such an important part of our community.  I challenge you this summer to make some specific connections with others in the CLA community.  Set up a play date, visit the park together, or stop by the school to check up on the building progress!  We have been helping to build a foundation together, and let’s keep that going over the summer.  Even invite someone new to become a part of the CLA community.  Our enrollment is open, and with the opening of the new building next fall, there’s room for more!

Trusting God,

        Mr. Horning
